Union Dues should be taxable?

In my quickbooks online set up, it states that deductions for union dues should be set as "other" deduction, but the default for "other" deduction does not have any of the boxes checked for taxes, and they should be taxable? How do I determine which tax boxes to check?

Good afternoon, @ASTFIRE

When using the "Other Deduction" category in QuickBooks, you should set it up as a post tax deduction. This reasoning is because union dues are generally taken from net pay due to federal tax rules for W-2 employees from 2018-2025.
