Let me help you get a copy of the W-3 information, @sbucktrout
You can go to the Archived Forms to print a copy of the W-3 form.
I'll show you how:
Click Taxes from the left menu and select Payroll Tax.
In the Forms section, select Annual Forms.
Select W-3, and then View.
A PDF form will open and select the printer icon to print.
Please know that the form is only for an employer copy and not official for submission.
However, if you're unable to get a copy, I'd suggest reaching out to our Phone Support Team. Our payroll agents can pull up your data and open the form so you could print it.
I'm just a reply away if you have other questions with the QuickBooks Online Payroll. Just add the details of your concerns in this thread and I'll help you out.
It's very difficult to get help for my desktop version of Quickbooks Pro.
When I find instructions they don't match my program. There is no Tax tab or Expense tab at the left menu.
I can't find the dang W-3 module. I already did the W-2's. It was a complete pain in the a$$ by the way. The text doesn't match the IRS forms. Can't just adjust the alignment because the scale is off. So I had to edit the text in pdf to fit each box.
I suggest having a checklist for end of year stuff like 1099's, W-2's, 1096's, W-3's. It wouldn't take a genius to set that up. Instead I have to hunt for hours, waisting time with B.S. help articles that are wrong.
I'm ready to move on with another accounting software if things don't change.
