My employees have not received their direct deposits yet where are they?

There are common reasons why your employees have not yet received their direct deposits in QuickBooks Online (QBO) Payroll, dangallagher24 . I'll discuss the following causes below:

 

  • Employees' bank account information was entered incorrectly.
  • There's a problem with the employee's bank.
  • The pay date falls on a weekend or holiday.
  • The direct deposit payroll was submitted after the cutoff time, which is 5 PM Pacific Standard Time. When this happens, the payroll will be processed on the next banking day.

 

If there are no issues with the causes mentioned, please ensure your payroll is processed correctly. On the other hand, the time it takes for employees to receive their pay depends on your payroll processing time or lead time. To determine, you can check their status within QBO:

 

  1. Navigate to the Gear icon and go to Payroll settings.
  2. Scroll to your Direct Deposit section.

 

If your employees still have not received the funds, I highly suggest reaching out to our QuickBooks Live Support team. They have specialized tools to review your account specifically to do a direct deposit trace.

Actually all my clients are having problems with their direct deposits working this morning so I assume its a QBO issue right now

All of my clients are having the same problem this morning.  It has to be a universal issue with QB right now.  I'm in line on Chat with them and will be calling as soon as lines are open

I am having the same issue.  No one in our company got paid.  I have been in que for a chat or a phone call for an hour and 16 minutes as of right now.

I've also been in the queue for hours.  I just hung up since I see it's Universal.

There's been a delay in the notification when processing the payroll funds. However, there's no actual impact on the money movement, and the funds will be deposited soon.

I call my bank Wells Fargo and was told that they are having an ACH problem but my other coworker got her direct deposit
