Hello there, Paul. We have ways to help us identify why your payroll direct deposits don't download into your checkbook account. I'll guide you through the steps.
Before we begin, we want to make sure I've got everything covered. Could you tell us the name of your bank and let me know if you see an error message? This information will enable us to offer a precise solution for this issue.
Your financial institution may be performing system maintenance, or there may be notifications on their website that need your attention. That's why your transactions aren't coming into QuickBooks Online (QBO).
To fix this, you can manually update your linked account. This refreshes the connection between your bank and the program. Here's how:
Go to the Banking or Transactions menu.
In the Banking or Bank transactions tab, select the blue tile for your linked checkbook account.
Click the Update button.
After that, sign in to your bank's website. This is to check your account page for messages or alerts that need your attention. Once you make changes on the website (for example, login credentials and account info), you'll have to update QuickBooks as well. Here's how:
Go to the Banking or Transactions menu.
Select the blue tile for your linked bank account.
Click the Edit icon.
Choose either Edit sign-in info or Edit account info.
If you have additional banking inquiries or need assistance managing transactions in QBO, feel free to ask in the Reply section below. We in the Community are here to assist you.
