Hi is anyone able to advise me if wages this week being week 53 are paid at the old rate of 8.21 or the new rate of 8.72

Using the new wage rate may depend on your business type. Since we don't have any confirmation available, I'd recommend contacting HRMC so they can verify this for you and provide you with the correct rate.
