Solved

Hi, Just moved from QBO Standard to Advanced Payroll. I need 1 journal entry for each employee but am only getting 1 for the whole payroll. Any ideas what to change?

Thank you for contacting us today, TeeBeeHBT,

QuickBooks Online automatically adds one journal entry (JE) for the whole payroll run after moving to the Advance Payroll service.

You can edit this one JE by removing other entries. Then, create a separate entry for each employee.

Here's how to record payroll transactions using JE:

  1. Click + New, then choose Journal Entry.
  2. Under Date, select the paycheque(s) date.
  3. (Optional) Input Entry # for journal entry.
  4. Enter the Debit and Credit accounts.
  5. Click Save.

You'll want to check out this page: QuickBooks Online Advanced Payroll Hub to help manage and navigate your new payroll subscription.
