You can check for any pending action items directly in your Payroll Overview. Uncompleted items in your TO DO LIST, such as missing employee profile data, outstanding tax info, or new hire notices, are commonly the main reasons Auto Payroll gets blocked.

You can review this by:

1. Go to All apps > Payroll > Overview.

2. Scroll down to the TO DO LIST section.

3. Make sure to complete all the required actions.

Additionally, please make sure your team members meet the following criteria to be eligible for the Auto Payroll feature:

  • Have an active employment status.
  • Be paid a fixed salary, or be an hourly employee with default hours set.
  • Be assigned to a pay schedule.
  • Have complete TD1 tax information in their profile.

Please keep in mind that Auto Payroll is not available for inactive staff, employees paid solely by commission, or hourly workers whose hours vary each pay period.

For more information on managing this feature, please refer to our article Set up and manage your Auto Payroll.
