How do I correct a payroll submission made to HMRC which relates to the previous payroll tax year for 2020/2021

the payroll submission for Month 7 (October 2020) was incorrect and we need to submit the correct figures

The deadline for amendments to previous tax years has now passed, and you'd need to submit an Earlier Year Update using HMRC's Basic Tools to correct this. 👩‍💻
