In order to help you with your Question can we ask which payroll it is you are using in Quickbooks?

Is it Advanced payroll or Standard payroll?

The way to tell which one you have is when you click on the payroll on the main navigation bar on the left-hand side when you click on the payroll if you have two other tabs one saying 'payroll' and the other saying 'employees' then you are using standard payroll. If you have no other tabs showing when clicking on the payroll on the main navigation bar then you are using advanced payroll.
