If I want to pay myself wages, I have QB Online without Payroll, what's a way of recording it and recording a payment to a personal account?

If you don't run payroll in Quickbooks, you would need to create a specific expense account for your wages in the chart of account. Once this is done then if you go to the +new>expense and select that new category and put the payment account as the personal one, fill the rest of the information out, then should be able to match it up on the banking section,
