Just started and I put the start date in as when I started quick books. How do I correct the start date of the company

Are you referring to the main information for the year vat type if so to change this if you go to the main cog wheel> account and settings> advanced> accounting> then you can edit the information there for the first month of financial year and so on in that box> save > done.
