Having just started with QB, I successfully linked up a bank account and then downloaded recent transactions from April 26. All good. So I now want to download last financial year transactions and cant find where I can do this. Do I need to disconnect and reconnect? Any help much appreciated.

What file format you can download from your bank? csv, pdf or else?

Most banks only allow QuickBooks to automatically sync the last 90 days of transactions during the initial connection. To bring in the previous financial year, you don't need to disconnect your account. You simply need to perform a manual upload.

To proceed, first log in to your bank’s portal and download a CSV file of your transactions for the specific missing date range. Once you have the file, import the data into QuickBooks by navigating to All apps > Accounting > Bank transactions

From the Link account dropdown, select Upload from file. Next, upload your CSV file, choose the correct bank account, and follow the prompts to map the Date, Description, and Amount columns. Finally, select the transactions you wish to import, then click Save and Done to complete the process.

After uploading, your transactions will appear under the Pending tab, ready to be categorised.
