Great to hear that you've selected QuickBooks as your new payroll software, @abwuk.

To enter your information for April and May 2025, we need to add your payroll history in the Payroll feature.

Here's how:

  1. Navigate to the Payroll section and click on Overview.
  2. Locate the option to Add your payroll history, and click Start.
  3. If you still need to add any employees, click on + Add employees.
  4. Click Enter to input the details for your initial employee.
  5. Choose Yes if they have received payment since April 6.
  6. Input the appropriate amounts in each column, ensuring they correspond with the figures on their pay slips or payroll reports for the year.
  7. After finishing, click Save.
  8. For every employee paid this year, repeat steps 4–7.
  9. Once all employees have been entered, click Done.

Please note that this is for a user who doesn't have any previous payroll history.

If you're operating QBO Advance Payroll, kindly refer to the steps in this article: Add Pay History for QBO Advanced Payroll.
