Question

We have salaried employees only and we want to give employees 224hrs of holiday at the beginning of our calendar year to draw down from. How can we do that?

Hi there, @usercgibson.

 

I'm happy to present steps on how you can add holiday hours for your salaried employees in QuickBooks Online. 

 

Please note that the holiday is not considered hours worked. They are not included in the basis for accrual of vacation or sick leave. 

 

Here's how: 

 

  1. Go to the Employees tab on the left side.
  2. Locate the employee's name on the list. 
  3. In the bottom part, click the + icon, and choose Other or Added pay
  4. Search the holiday type, then complete the required data. If you didn't see it, you have an option to hit the Add button to add the payment type.
  5. Tap Save
