Currently I have the notice "We're updating your payroll service" How long will this take as I need to pay liabilities before midnight tonight?

This error can occur if:

 

  • QuickBooks is having a system maintenance.
  • Browser-related issues. 

To check if it has something to do with the browser, we can do troubleshooting steps.

Here's how:

  1. Open an incognito or private browser.
  2. Log in to your QBO account and try to access the payroll section.
  3. If it works, go back to the main browser and clear the cache.

Also, try using a different browser to test if you can access the payroll page. If the same thing happens, please contact our Phone Support Team. We will investigate this error message further.
