Question

How to turn off billable option in the updated workforce ap?

I asked this question and I did receive an answer however unable to respond to their answer for some reason…   Recently only some of our team were requested to update their workforce app and those now have the billable option available and unknown to them this creates a bit of a hassle for myself.  I can not seem to turn it off and the option in our tsheets platform has this option off…  Has anyone experienced this and has figured out how to turn it off?

Thank you for following up here. I understand where you are coming from, as dealing with unexpected software updates creates extra hassles for you. To remove the Billable option from the Workforce app, you can toggle the billable setting off and on again in your QuickBooks Time and QuickBooks Online accounts.

Here’s how to do it in QuickBooks Online:

  1. Navigate to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Account and settings.
  3. Go to the Time tab, then click the pencil icon under Timesheet fields.
  4. Toggle on and off the Billable option from the Show on timesheets and Require on timesheets columns.
  5. Click Save.

Next, ensure your time-tracking platform matches your main account preferences:

  1. Go to QuickBooks Time.
  2. In the top-right corner, select the QuickBooks drop-down menu.
  3. Choose Preferences.
  4. Tick and untick the box for the Billable yes/no choice.

After that, have your team log out of the app and sign back in to reset their view.

Hello Trixie!

All those options have been turned off since we signed up last fall.  I have confirmed they are all off.  I even went through the Feature Add-ons option and confirmed through there.  It seems it is only happening with the employees who have updated their app.  Any other suggestions?

May I ask, have you tried toggling the Billable option on and back off? Doing this quick reset forces the system to recognize and re-register the changes.

If the issue persists, I suggest contacting an Intuit Expert to have a closer look at this.
