Could you please share a few details about the updates you recently made on your end? For instance, did you update employee information, banking details, or your tax setup? Before setting up Auto Payroll, please ensure your initial payroll setup is complete and that you have successfully run your first payroll.

Also, your employees will need to meet a few eligibility requirements first. Take a quick look at the checklist below to make sure everything is good to go:

  • Their employment status must be currently active.
  • They must be paid a fixed salary or be an hourly employee with default hours set.
  • They must be linked to an active pay schedule.
  • Their profile needs to include all required TD1 tax details.

Additionally, auto payroll won't work for inactive workers, paid by commission only, or hourly employees whose hours change every payday. Auto Payroll works for employees paid by direct deposit or paper cheque.
