I need to have extra tax taken off each payroll requested the employee. How do I enter this in desktop?

To get started, it's important to note that QBO adheres to tax regulations set by the CRA. That said, you can edit the employee's TD1 tax information using the following steps:

 

  1. Go to Payroll and select Employees.
  2. Select your employee.
  3. From Tax withholding section, select Edit.
  4. In the Federal withholding section, fill in the applicable info from your employee’s TD-1.
  5. Select Save.
