Welcome to Community! It's essential that your federal tax is set up accurately in keeping your accounts accurate. QuickBooks Online enables you to edit the associated accounts, as you see necessary. I'd be glad to assist!
Here's how to edit the federal tax account;
1. Open your Settings ⚙ and select Payroll settings
2. Click on the Edit 📝 in the Accounting section
3. Scroll down to the Tax Liabilities Accounts section and click on the Edit 📝
4. Use the ▼ dropdown menu to select the account for your Federal Taxes
5. Hit Save
