It's great to see you reaching out to Community.  QuickBooks offers a dynamic payroll module that allows you to pay your staff on time.  I'll be happy to provide more information so you're on the right track with accomplishing your QuickBooks goals, and your employees are paid on time.

The deadline for submitting payroll for direct deposit is two business days before the date of the cheque.  If the pay date falls on a holiday or weekend, ensure you approve it early enough that the pay is received on the last business day before the weekend or holiday.  I hope you find this to be helpful!
