You can use the Projects feature to keep track of all your job costs in a simple and effective way. You can create budgets, run reports, and view timesheets allocated to projects! There's even more to explore with projects, and I want to make sure you have access to this awesome feature for your business.
The first thing to note is that Projects is only available in QuickBooks Online Plus. If you're currently using the EasyStart or Essentials plan, you can upgrade your account by clicking the Gear icon > Account and Settings > Billing and Subscription > Upgrade.
If you're using QuickBooks Online Plus, you'll have to turn on the Projects feature by clicking the Gear icon > Account and Settings > Advanced > Projects > ON.
If you used to see the Projects feature in the left navigation menu and it's no longer appearing, I recommend clearing the cache and cookies in your web browser to remove any stored Internet files that may be clinging to the back end of your browser. Here's how to do that: How do I clear my browser cache and temporary Internet files?
If the issue persists, try using an Incognito window in Google Chrome by following these steps: Browse in private. This is a private window that operates independently from the rest of your browser. It's really handy in diagnosing potential browser issues. You can also try a new browser all together.
If you're still not seeing the Projects feature, please reach out to our tech support team for further investigation. I'm confident our agents will get to the bottom of this for you.
Have a great day.
