Hello there, apatel1.

For GST-free sales (0%), here are the options you can consider:

Exclusive of Tax keeps tax amounts separate from the invoice total. If the GST rate is 0%, QuickBooks shows the base amount and clearly indicates no GST is applied, providing transparency for GST-free sales.

Inclusive of Tax includes tax within the total invoice amount. For GST-free sales (0%), the total still appears, with the GST portion shown as 0%. This approach offers a simpler invoice format without separating tax calculations.

Out of scope of Tax applies to transactions not subject to GST, such as loans, salaries, or other exempt activities. While it can be used for GST-free sales, it is best reserved for items entirely outside GST reporting.

The choice between Exclusive of Tax and Out of scope of Tax depends on your reporting needs. Both support 0% GST, but Exclusive of Tax suits standard GST reporting, while Out of scope of Tax is best for non-reportable transactions.
