You can import general ledger entries using a .CSV file. You can check this article for the correct format: https://community.intuit.com/articles/1773087.

Click Banking on the left pane, then select Banking.
Select File upload.
Select Browse and locate the .CSV file.
Select Next.
From the QuickBooks Account drop-down list, select the appropriate bank or credit card account then select Next.
Map the statement fields according to your CSV file format and select Next.
Select the checkboxes of the transactions to import and select Next.
When prompted to import now, select Yes.
Select Let’s go! to finish.

I'll make sure you'll get the help you need, @hjbactol. I know how important it is to import general ledger entries in QuickBooks Online.

If you are asking about the Bank balance, make sure the online banking is connected to QuickBooks Online. The balance will show in the bank tile. However, if you are referring to the balance for each entry you imported, you can add, match and categorize bank transactions to add them to the bank register. This way, you can see the balance for each entry.

After you match or add downloaded transactions, they're recorded into QuickBooks. You can review your work and make sure everything is correct in this article: Categorise and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.
