I have the steps you can take in importing information to your QuickBooks Online (QBO), accounts.
To import information from your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) to QBO, please make sure to use a supported file format to get them into the application. You can use a CSV (Comma Separated Values) file, Google Sheets, or an XLS/XLSX file to import information to QuickBooks Online.
Also, you may notice differences in how your books appear as the two applications operate differently from one another and have distinct features.
Moreover, these are the types of data you can import into your company file:
Bank Transactions
Customers
Suppliers
Chart of Accounts
Products and Services
Invoices
Bills
Journal Entries
To start moving in the file, you can follow the steps below:
Log in to your QuickBooks Online as an admin.
Click the Gear icon and select Import data.
Select from what list or type of transaction you want to import.
Select Browse to upload the file from your computer. Choose the file, and select Open.
Furthermore, you can also consider using a third-party application that could easily help you import this information.
Additionally, you can review if the details are imported correctly by running reports in QBO. Financial reports give you a snapshot of your business's financial health.
