Converting from Quickbooks Premium 2012 to Newer Desktop Version on Windows 11 PC
I had to replace my 12+ year old computer with a new one. The old one was Windows 10 and was able to handle my old Quickbooks Premier 2012 software. My new one is Windows 11 and apparently will not accommodate this software. I use the basic accounting functions (invoice generation, General ledger, Accounts payable/receivables, Management reports). Therefore, I am seeking to purchase a non-subscription version of Quickbooks that will work on the new Windows 11 computer and also be able to convert the Quickbooks Premier 2012 files.
I can't seem to find any documentation concerning the various years and versions of the desktop version to confirm which will successfully convert the old Quickbooks Premier 2012 files. Can anyone assist in letting me know how to do this.
I don’t care which new version of the QB desktop I get.
If I get versions 2022 up to 2024 (Windows 11), am I able to do the data upgrades on the new Windows 11 version?
Or, do I need to get the 2015, 2018, 2021 versions (Windows 10) to do this progressive upgrade?
Any advice is appreciated.
