Support confirmed that the QuickBooks app will not work on iOS 18.7 on the iPhone 13 Pro. Can you provide a full list of which iOS versions are incompatible with which iPhone models?

This information should be readily available to users so they can avoid updating to a version that breaks compatibility — or worse, purchasing a phone that won’t work with QuickBooks at all. I was also told that iOS 26 will not work, and that QuickBooks will not function on the iPhone 17.

If there are known incompatibilities, they should be published and easy to find. This is software development 101 — transparency on supported devices and operating systems is critical. Failing to do so creates major problems for long-time customers like me.

As it stands, I now have to rely on an old iPhone XS Max tethered to my work iPhone just to run QuickBooks in the field. I’m about to upgrade that XS Max to iOS 18.7, but I’m taking a gamble because there’s no official information about what devices and iOS versions are supported.

I appreciate your thoughts about this matter, anodecathode. I'll explain further details about the compatibility version of QuickBooks Online (QBO).

The QuickBooks Mobile app requires iOS 16.0 or later. However, you can still access QBO via the Safari browser on iPhones running iOS 11.1 or later, provided Private Mode is turned off. To learn more about the system requirements and supported operating systems for the QBO mobile app, please visit this article: QuickBooks Online access for mobile devices.

Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any further questions.

You are not being truthful in your reply. I just spent two hours on the phone with your escalated support team, who confirmed — after instructing me to update my phone to the latest iOS (18.7) — that QuickBooks will not run on an iPhone 13 Pro with anything newer than iOS 18.2, which is a much older version.

Failing to post this information on your website or in the App Store, and instead leaving customers to discover that an update breaks the app on their own, is completely unacceptable.

After 17 years of being a loyal QuickBooks user, this lack of transparency and proactive communication is forcing me to consider other accounting software options.

Running iOS 26 (iPhone 17) and can confirm the app works poorly. Mileage tracking freezes the app requiring it to be force closed. Once reopened it will show a white screen with a loading circle that indefinitely loads. You need to delete the app and reinstall to get basic functionality back. Entering a trip manually still works, just don’t rely on the automatic tracking and trip start/stop features or you’re in trouble.
