Question

The Error Submitting csv file message says it's probably QuickBooks fault. Do I have to wait until Monday to get an answer?

I used Zammar free converter and it seemed to work great.  Not sure if i need to edit out all the jargon or if QB will find the transactions (date, description, amt).  I tried uploading it as is, and again with the jargon edited out.  Both ways received same "Error Submitting...probably our fault" message.

It's my pleasure to have you here today, bbarhsales. Helping you submit your CSV file to QuickBooks is my top priority today. I'm here to share some troubleshooting steps to isolate the error you're getting.

The system follows a standard format when uploading CSV files. To avoid errors, please make sure that all the columns are supported and that every detail is correct. You can also edit out the jargon to avoid unexpected results. I'm adding this article to know more about the supported formats: Format CSV files in Excel to get bank transactions into QuickBooks.

Once your file is ready, try uploading it to QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) again.

  1. Go to the Profile ⚙ icon, then select Imports.
  2. Select Import transactions.
  3. Follow the onscreen steps to upload the CSV file.
  4. Tap Import.

If you're getting the same result, I suggest replicating the steps through a private window to narrow down the result. You can use either of these keyboard shortcuts to save you time:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: press Command Shift N

If everything looks good, clear your original browser's clear cache to refresh the system. However, if the issue persists, try using other supported browsers. Then, upload your file from there

When you're done, review and categorize your transactions to put them in your accounts.

I hope we’ll stay in touch and get to work together again in the future. If you have other banking concerns, please let me know by leaving a comment below. I'm always here to provide additional assistance. Have a great weekend!
