I have the Self-Employed Quickbooks/TurboTax Bundle. The instructions say to start with the Tax checklist Icon on the home screen, but it is not showing up.

That was unexpected, @Kartman. Let's ensure your Tax checklist Icon is available on your end.

I suspect a browser issue because it frequently behaves erratically when its cache of temporary internet files is full.

To confirm, I'd recommend logging into your QBSE account in an incognito or private window, as this will prevent data from being collected in the cache. You can use the keyboard shortcut keys listed below to access it in your preferred browser:

  • Google Chrome, press CTRL+ Shift+N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press CTRL+Shift+P
  • Internet Explorer: Press CTRL+Shift+P
  • Safari: press Command+Shift+N

Check your Tax Checklist icon in your Home screen again and see if it makes a difference. Then, clear your browser's cache to ensure that it functions properly. If private browsing does not work, switch to another supported web browser for the best and most secure QuickBooks experience.

I've got this article as an additional guide when filing your tax forms: QuickBooks Self-Employed Annual Tax Guide.

Let me know if you have more concerns. I'll be there to guide you again.

Having the same issue. I have upgraded and I have no "tax checklist" button. I have done all of the suggestions and it is still not appearing. Is there anything else to resolve this issue?

Hello there, @AAInstalls

The reason why you're not seeing the Tax Checklist button is because it's not available yet. Rest assured,  you'll be able to easily access the Tax Checklist button by navigating to the Home page of your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) account starting from January 15th.

For additional details on filing taxes through QBSE, I recommend checking this article out: QuickBooks Self-Employed annual tax guide.

You might want to learn how QBSE estimates your federal self-employment taxes. Here's an article about it: Automatically estimate your income tax in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

If you have any additional questions regarding the Tax Checklist in QBSE, please feel free to post them here in the Community. I'm happy to offer assistance in any way I can. Take care.
