Good morning, @emljfw77

Thanks for reaching out to the Community for support. I hope you're enjoying the day so far. I'm happy to lend a hand with your error.

To clarify, is there an error number associated with your error message? For example, 102, 105, or 101. Knowing if there is an error number will help me to find the exact set of steps you'll need to resolve this issue. In the meantime, I've included some basic troubleshooting steps below that you can use.

You can clear the cache in your browser. Web browsers collect cache to save time when loading repetitive data and images. Over time these files can become outdated and corrupted, causing issues like your Venmo not connecting. I've included the links for all supported browsers that contain the steps to clear the cache below.

Once you've cleared the cache from your browser, please ensure closing the browser and reopening it so the changes can take effect. Then, try connecting your Venmo again.

I'll be sure to keep an eye out for your response. Let me know if you have additional questions or concerns. As always, feel free to reach out to the Community at any time. Take care and enjoy the rest of your day!

I am having this issue. At first my Venmo was not updating. So I deleted Venmo. Next I tried to add Venmo back. Error message says there is an error saying “connection to Venmo is not available”

This has been going on for a week. There is nothing the matter with logging into my Venmo and my account is correct on Venmo. Just not Intuit.

I appreciate the actions that you've taken to help get this matter sorted out, @Libbymontgomery.

Let me provide some insights about connecting the Venmo accounts in QuickBooks Online.

To start with, I'd like to ask what type of Venmo account are you trying to connect. Is it personal or business? Any further details about this issue are much appreciated so I can narrow down this concern.

Know that Venmo only allows the personal account to be connected with QuickBooks. If you're trying to connect a business account, you may consider reaching out to your financial institution. This way, you can submit a request for your business account to be connected with QBO.

If you're trying to connect a personal account and the problem continues, I'd suggest reaching out to our Customer Care Team. They have the tools that can check on your account and help fix this hurdle.

To do that:

  1. Click on Help at the top menu bar.
  2. Select on the Contact Us button.
  3. Enter a brief description of the issue in the What can we help you with? box.
  4. Press on Let's talk.
  5. Select on Get a callback.
  6. Key in your contact details, then tap on Confirm my call.

For now, you may consider manually uploading your bank transaction in QBO to get your work done.

Here's how:

  1. Click Banking from the left navigation panel.
  2. Pick File Upload from the Update drop-down menu or Upload transactions manually if there isn’t any bank connected to QBO.
  3. Select Browse and choose the file you downloaded.
  4. Choose an account from the list, then Next.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to map the fields.
  6. Select the transactions to import.
  7. Click Yes.
  8. Hit Let’s go.

For the information and steps on importing these files, see this article: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.

I'm also adding these links below to help you in connecting and categorizing your bank transactions in QBO:

Reach back out to me here if you need further assistance. I'll make sure you're taken care of. Have a nice day!
