The best way to understand why your report came up with those figures on the report is to click on them. This way, you'll see the list of transactions that comprised those amounts and detect if one of them is erroneously entered.

The other reason for having an a difference on the figure is the accounting method you use. In accrual method, all invoices as reported as income whether they are paid or not.
