Hello, frame. I'll share some insights about converting a sales quote in QuickBooks Online.
A Quote/Estimate transaction is non-posting. There is no direct way to convert it to a Purchase Order, which is another non-posting transaction. You'll have the option to copy a quote to a purchase order. First, ensure to enable the purchase order feature.
Here's how:
Go to the Gear icon and select Account and settings.
Choose the Expenses tab.
Select the pencil ✎ icon in the Purchase orders section.
Turn on the Use purchase orders switch.
Click Save, then Done.
Now, copy the quote to a purchase order. The steps are as follows:
Go to + New and select Quote.
Enter customer and product or service details. Then select Save.
A dropdown choice of Create invoice or Copy to purchase order will appear next to the amount.
Select Copy to purchase order.
Choose a Supplier.
In the Item details section, select the same customer used on the purchase order.
