If you want to start fresh with a new QuickBooks Online company, you have the option to purge your account. You can only do it if you've been using it within 90 days of signup. The system deletes all data entered into the company.
Here's how:
Sign in to your QBO, then change the URL. Example: https://...qbo.intuit.com/app/homepage to https://...qbo.intuit.com/app/purgecompany.
Type YES, then click OK.
Click Wipe Data. Once the deletion is made, you'll be redirected to your home page.
If your account has been active for more than 90 days, you can't delete the data. Instead, you have to cancel your account, then start a new subscription (if you want).
Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process.
Once you do it, the company will no longer show under the QuickBooks Companies (active companies). Instead, you can view it under the Canceled Companies.
