How do I delete an email address for a customer? When I edit the customer the address doesn't show, but when I open an invoice it is there?

Thanks for posting in the Community!

 

It's good to know you have tried to edit the customers details to remove the email address. Please know that changes will apply to future invoices only. For previously created invoices you'll have to manually edit them and remove the email address of the customer.

 

To isolate the situation encountered let's use an incognito window to remove the email on file. Here's how:

 

  1. Click on the Sales tab.
  2. Click on Customers.
  3. Click on the customer name and click on Edit.
  4. Under Email address field, remove the phone number.
  5. Click on Save.

Then, create a new dummy invoice to verify the information shown on the invoice.

 

Drop by again in the Community if you have further invoice concerns.
