When you merge two customers together, the customer you edited to match with the other becomes inactive, and all their transactions merge with the other customer. You can follow the below steps to un-merge them:
Select the Sales tab, then Customers
Select the small Settings icon at the top of the Actions column (look to the right of the page)
Select Include Inactive
Locate the customer you edited. They will show up in the list with their original name prior to merging and (deleted). Select Make active on the right
Keep in mind that any sales under this customer will not revert back to them once you have un-merged them. You will need to locate any relevant transactions under the other customer and allocate them back to the reactivated customer.
