If you have received a government grant, do you treat it as sales income within quickbooks

You can set up an income account on your Chart of Accounts to allocate the government grant received. 

Here's how: 

1. On Accounting tab select Chart of Accounts.
2. Select New. 
3. On Account Type, select Other income.
4. Select a Detail Type.
5. Enter a Name of the account.
6. Select Save and Close.
