Yes, you can, -idrive4x4-. I’m here to walk you through the process.


To add a number to your Chart of accounts and show them on reports and transactions, you’ll want to turn on the Enable account numbers and Show account numbers features in your Account and settings.


Here’s how:

 

  1. Open your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Go to the Gear icon and select Account and settings.
  3. Select the Advanced tab.
  4. Tap the Pencil icon in the Chart of accounts section.
  5. Turn on Enable account numbers and select Show account numbers.
  6. Click Save and then Done.


Once done, you can start assigning numbers to your account by following the steps below.

 

  1. In your Chart of accounts page, select the Pencil icon at the top right.
  2. Add account numbers in the Number column.                                                                                    
  3. Select Save after.
