Can I change the status of a customer from customer to supplier?

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), you cannot directly change the customer to a supplier. However, you can make the incorrect customer inactive instead and accurately recreate it as a supplier. Let me show you how:

1. Go to Customers & leads and select the Customers tab.
2. Tap the customer's name to open their profile.
3. Click the dropdown under the Action column.
4. Select Make inactive and confirm by clicking Yes.
   
   

Once done, you can now proceed to add a shareholder of your company as a supplier.
