Can i import sales from excel in multi currency without creating invoices? How to book a third party transaction like selling services via Shopify?

You should utilize an importer tool to import Sales Receipts data into your QBO.

Hi shipra-loopclub-,

 

Yes. We can import the transactions in multi currency. Before doing so, let's ensure that you have turned on the Multicurrency option. Let me guide you how:

 

  1. From the Gear icon, select Account and settings.
  2. Go to the Advanced section.
  3. Click the Currency field.
  4. Toggle Multicurrency.
  5. Tick I understand I can’t undo Multicurrency.
  6. Click Save and then Done.

 

Once turned on, you can add a foreign currency:

 

  1. Open the transaction details and select Add.
  2. In the currency fields, enter the Foreign amount or the Exchange rate your bank provides.

 

Afterward, you can import the items. I've added this guide for more information on the process: Format CSV files in Excel into QuickBooks.

 

As for the third-party transaction, I'd recommend reaching out to Shopify support and you can ask if they support integration for QuickBooks Online India. Otherwise, you'll have to manually enter the transaction as invoices.

Hey,

Thanks for your help. I have changed the currency settings and now i am importing multiple invoices. So i am able to reach till "Map your Place of Supply" stage after that i click on "next" nothing happens. It does not show any error or anything. I don't understand how to move forward. If you can help with this?

Based on your description above, I can tell that you've prepared your invoice spreadsheet according to what's required. In case the issue persists, I encourage you to send a screenshot for us to further identify the cause. This way, I can also provide the exact resolution for this matter. 

 

Once done, you need to review your downloaded transactions. Then, make sure to reconcile your accounts every month to keep them updated and accurate.
