Can n1 help; using the android app on the road 4 my line of work, need 2 know how i change the default sett 4 an open invoice 2 change the ACC where payments default n2?

Currently, QuickBooks Online (QBO) does not offer an option to set a default deposit account when recording payments. Instead, you'll want to manually select the correct account to ensure the invoice payment is recorded properly.

 

To provide some context, the mobile app automatically selects the first available account listed alphabetically. The browser version of QBO is better able to remember the last account used and prefill it on future payment transactions. Thus, you can manually choose the appropriate account each time you record a payment.

 

As for any payments that have already been recorded to the incorrect account, I recommend doing this part through the browser version of QBO. From there, go to your Chart of Accounts and Edit the entries to reflect the correct Deposit To account.
