Let me share how QuickBooks handles your sales receipts.
Currently, the ability to use the weighted average in creating an invoice is not available. However, you can customize your sales receipt so your customers will not see the rate and the amount per item on the receipt. Here's how:
Go to the Gear Icon.
Choose the Custom Form Style.
Select the Sales Receipt template you want to use.
Pick Edit from the Action column.
Go to the Content tab.
Click the Pencil icon to Edit the columns that your customers would see.
Remove the checkmark for Rate and Amount.
Click Done.
However, it will still display the total amount of the products listed in the sales receipt.
In addition, you can add a custom field and dedicate it to the Weighted Average. You just have to manually calculate it and enter in the Sales Receipt.
Lastly, you can print or download the Delivery Note. It displays a list of the items your customer purchase without its Total Amount or Rate. Here's how:
Go to the Sales menu.
Choose the Customers tab.
Click to open the customer's profile, then go to the TransactionList tab.
Choose an invoice.
From the Batch actions drop-down, click Print delivery note.
Click the Print icon, then click the Print button.
Feel free to click the Reply button below if you have other questions about creating a sales receipt. I'm always here to help.
