Can we have separate number series from Credit note other than from Sales invoice series.

Thanks for stopping by the QuickBooks Community. Currently, you can not have separate numbers. It will automatically update the number sequentially. 

As a workaround, you can enable the Custom Transaction Numbers in QBO, so you can manually enter the number you like for each sale. Please note that this will reset the sequence of the entries you will add in the future.

Here's how to do that:

1. From the Gear icon, select the Account and Settings (or Company Settings).
2. Go to the Sales menu, and click the Sales form content section.
3. Click the Custom transaction numbers slider to enable it.
4. Select Save and then Done.
