If you're referring to accounts in the Chart of Accounts, then yes. You can enter both account names and numbers.
 

First, let's enable the account numbers feature. Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon.
  2. Select Account and settings.
  3. Go to the Advanced tab.
  4. Click the Pencil icon in the Chart of accounts section.
  5. Turn on the Enable account numbers feature.
  6. Tick the Show account numbers field.
  7. Click Save, then Done.

Then, create an account. Here's how:

  1. Click Accounting.
  2. Go to the Chart of Accounts tab.
  3. Click New.
  4. Select the Account Type and Detail Type.
  5. Enter the account name and number.
  6. Click Save and Close
