Need reports to show what has been sent to HMRC and what has been sent to the pension provider?

You can find your Payroll submission in the Taxes section. Here's how:

  1. Navigate to Taxes.
  2. Select the Payroll tab, then click HMRC reports.
  3. Locate the RTI submissions report.

If automating pension submission is on, QuickBooks sends contributions directly. If not, the Deductions report breaks down contributions by employee for manual submission. Here's how to check it:

  1. Go to Reports.
  2. Click on Standard reports.
  3. Search for Deductions.

To see what's gone to HMRC, see this article: Submit an FPS to HMRC in QuickBooks Online Payroll.

To see what's gone to the pension provider, run the Payroll Deductions/Contributions report and check the pension automation settings (auto-submit vs. manual upload), since QuickBooks Online (QBO) doesn't always auto-file with the provider.
