How do I "lock " invoices - meaning that once they have been emailed, changes or edit will be reflecting on the new invoice being sent ?

Hi there, kankung.

I understand the importance of locking your invoices to ensure they can't be changed. Allow me to share insights about this.

At this time, the option to lock invoices is unavailable in QuickBooks Online (QBO). QBO wants to ensure the system and your customer have the same record of what you have created and edited.

However, QBO allows you to close your books and prevent changes to past transactions before filing your taxes. Once you turn on this feature, it's not limited to invoices but to all your prior entries tracked in the program. To learn more about this, please see this article: Close your books in QuickBooks Online.
