Thank you for posting your concern here in the QuickBooks forum. I see that you want to automate the addition of the month and year as a suffix on the invoice number. Allow me to impart some of my knowledge regarding this matter.

In QuickBooks Online, you cannot automate the addition of the month and year as a suffix on the invoice number. Instead, you can manually enter them. You can turn on the Custom Transaction option to have the ability to enter suffixes in your invoice number. Here's how you can do it:

  1. Go to Settings ⚙ and select Account and Settings.
  2. Select Sales, then select anywhere within the Sales form content section.
  3. Turn Custom transaction numbers on or off.
  4. Select Save, then select Done.

For detailed information, refer to this article: Add custom transaction numbers to sales forms in QuickBooks Online.

After following these steps, your invoice numbers will include the month and year as a suffix. If you have more questions about invoices or any QuickBooks-related concerns, post them here in the forum. I'll be around to answer them ASAP! See you around!
