How to automatically generate invoice numbers?

Great day, @croydonfarming-g! I'd be happy to show you the steps on how to generate invoice numbers in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

QuickBooks Online (QBO) has an option to auto-generate an invoice number when you create a new transaction. Simply turn it on in the Settings. I'll show you the way to do that:

1. Go to the Settings and select Account and settings.
2. Go to the Sales menu, then locate the Sales form section, and click on the Pencil icon beside it.
3. Click the radio button beside the Custom transaction numbers.
4. Select Save and Done.

You'll also have the option to enter a customized invoice number on the sales form. Take note that the following transaction number of your invoice will base on the previous invoice transaction.

For example, 8 is the invoice number of the previous transaction, when you create a new one, it will auto-populate as invoice number 9.
