I have created a expense item in Product and services and have selected while creating a invoice but it is still showing as negative item in Sales instead of the expense

I'm here to help with your negative item showing in the sales instead of the expense in QuickBooks Online (QBO). 

Let's access first your Profit and Loss (P&L) Detail report to determine what causes the negative amount. 

Here's how: 

1. Go to the Reports tab on the left side. 
2. On the Business overview section, click the mentioned report above. 
3. Click the Customise button.
4. Choose the exact Report period and Accounting method. 
5. Put a checkmark in the Show in the red box.
6. Pick the product and services you've created in the Distribution Account drop-down. 
7. Hit Run report. 
8. Review the negative amount that appears in the report.

Also, if you've entered the product and services on the invoice as a negative value, then this will show as negative in your P&L report. To fix this, I'd suggest entering the amount in a positive digit to show the negative item in expense. 

Additionally, you can always access these reports to track your best seller's item and the number of stocks.
