I'm here to ensure you'll be able to save the invoices that you made in QuickBooks Online.
When creating invoices in QuickBooks Online, you'll need to manually save them so they will be kept in the system. QBO doesn't automatically save them without clicking the Save or Save and Close button.
To verify if the invoice has been saved and went missing, let's check the Audit Log of your account. This area keeps track of your activities. You can also see who made changes to your books and what they did.
Here's how:
Go to Gear icon and select Audit Log.
Click on Filter.
Use the fields on the Filter panel to choose the appropriate User, Date, or Events filter to narrow the results.
If the invoice is not showing up, you can recreate it. This time, I'd recommend accessing your account on a private window and create it from there. This can help us identify if the problem is browser-related.
You can open a Private Window in all supported browsers using the corresponding keyboard shortcut below:
Chrome: Ctrl+Shift+N
Microsoft Edge: Ctrl+Shift+N
Firefox: Ctrl+Shift+P
Safari: Command+Shift+N
If it has been saved successfully, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. Web-based platforms like QBO collect cache files (cookies) to save you time when loading repetitive data and images. This may result to an odd behavior while working with QuickBooks.
