Question

I tried to batch edit items in my inventory bec. I need to update the price. however, upon uploading the file, QBO created duplicates and i can't delete them!

Hi there, Camille. When importing items into QuickBooks Online (QBO), ensure that you select the Overwrite existing items box during the import process. 

This option appears on the mapping screen after you upload your file. When overwrite is checked, QBO matches items by name and updates existing records with the new data from your file.

While duplicate items cannot be permanently deleted, you can set them to inactive. To save time, you can perform this action in bulk. Here’s how:
 

  1. Go to the Sales &  Get Paid tile.
  2. Click Product & Services.
  3. Tick the duplicate items.
  4. In the Batch actions dropdown, select Make inactive.
