I want to change the invoice no. for the sales invoice created yesterdsy

Thanks for coming to the Community today. QuickBooks automatically assigns numbers to your invoice. You can use the Custom transaction numbers feature to set your preferred numbering formats.

I've got you some easy steps to change the invoice number. Here's how: 

1. Go to the Settings icon, then select Account and Settings (or Company Settings).
2. Click Sales, then select anywhere within the Sales form content section.
3. Check the box next to Custom transaction numbers.
4. Click Save and then Done.
5. Open an invoice or any sales form, and in the Invoice no. field, enter the custom number or letter sequence you want to use for your forms.

 Please note that the sequence you set applies to all sales forms. Once done, turn off the Custom transaction numbers feature to prevent accidental changes to your numbering.
